The tiny hamlet of Kemyel Wartha is accessed via a private track and surrounded by open countryside leading down to the sea with
no near main roads or any light pollution and is very safe for children.

major attractions in Cornwall are only a short journey away.
From the cottage which overlooks the magical Lamorna Cove you have the chance to explore many beautiful coastal paths and inland
walks with breathtaking scenery. The 10 minute walk heading west from the cottage down to the cove, takes you through Lamorna
woods filled with many wild flowers, wildlife and rocky outcrops with some lovely photographic and artistic view points. Once in the
Cove you will find a picturesque little beach and harbour with its cafe' serving daily lunches and beverages, restaurant and shop.
A great spot to just sit and relax and take in the stunning surroundings, from the granite strewn cliffs of Lamorna's bygone mining
industry to the beautiful crystal clear blue waters and small sandy beach. Lovely and safe for swimming or you can hire little boats from
the cafe'. If you feel a little more adventurous you could try out a diving lesson with one of the many instructors who visit each year.

By following the river up the narrow road out of the cove for about a mile you will reach the local pub the famous Lamorna Wink Inn. Perfect for a pint and a spot of lunch, especially in the summer months when you can sit out in the garden or amongst the shade from the trees.

Another great place to visit is the lovely historic fishing village of Mousehole. From the cottage heading in an easterly direction on
the coastal path for about 2 miles it takes around 30 minutes. On the way there are views over Mounts Bay to the Lizard and St
Michael's Mount. With its many winding streets lined with pretty little old fishing cottages and quaint harbour and pub its a must see!
There is a small sandy beach and even a tidal swimming pool that is great for kids. Little gift shops and galleries line the pretty streets
as well as cafe's and fine sea food restaurants.
Every year Mousehole hosts a fantastic Christmas Lights Display where the whole village and harbour comes alive every evening from
mid December.The main towns of Newlyn and Penzance are only a 10 minute drive away and contain all the necessary facilities
including a good variety of shops, many fine restaurants and eating houses, art galleries, leisure and gymnasium centers and
everything else one would require.
Both towns host numerous events throughout the year which brings in many visitors. The Newlyn fish festival is famed for its
wonderful cuisine and visiting chefs showing off their culinary skills. The Golowan festival lasts for a week and has a carnival, street
entertainers and a fairground on the promenade.
Also based in Penzance you will find the British International Helicopter Service and the Scillonion III passenger ferry, both
offering excursions to the beautiful Isles of Scilly located 28 miles south west off Lands End.
